Faith Formation

Catholic faith formation for children is a parish-based religious education process, partnering with parents, to help kids grow a personal relationship with Jesus, understand Catholic teachings, learn to pray and worship, and prepare for sacraments (like First Communion, Confirmation) from kindergarten through high school, focusing on Scripture, Tradition, and living out faith through service and community

Mission Statement

The Our Lady of Fatima Faith Formation program seeks, in partnership with parents, to instill in children a knowledge and love of God which will deepen as they live their faith through prayer, good works, sacraments, and service to others.

Focus on attendance at Mass and preparation for reception of Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation is of utmost importance.

Recognizing that faith starts in the family, the staff encourages a strong connection between home and class in terms of values and virtues to be practiced. All are welcome!

Letter From The Pastor - May 2025

May 2025

Dear Parents,

We look forward to seeing our returning families and greeting our new families for the 2025-26 Faith Formation year. We are excited about partnering with you as we strive to grow faithful disciples among our students. Our goal is to help the children make their faith come alive in their daily lives by knowing, loving, and serving God.

We are grateful for our volunteer catechists who will be bringing the truths of our Catholic faith to your sons and daughters, and we ask that you show them your appreciation by having your child attend classes regularly and respect teachers and classmates.

May this be a rewarding and fulfilling year for parents, students, catechists, and staff. Let us take the words from the gospel of St. Matthew to heart: “You are the light of the world...your light must shine before others that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father.”

Blessings, Father Pawel Hrebenko

The Heart of Our Mission: Our Volunteers

Volunteers are crucial to help with our Faith Formation program. Understanding that this is a difficult and challenging time in our world, we must still retain and practice our Christian values and trust in Divine Providence. Please ask your children to show their gratitude and respect for the men and women who unselfishly share their gifts as they try to form good disciples. Catechists will be patient and understanding and show their respect for each student. We can then move forward in harmony.
